The first record issued on the label 4AD was added to my catalog in February 2004 — Gus Gus's album "Polydistortion". Seventeen total records by twelve bands and performers were released by 4AD, including seventeen studio albums. One recordis marked 4 stars and above. Most notable musical genres for this label are alternative pop, trip-hop and ambient. If you want my opinion what kind of music is representative here, you may check out Cocteau Twins and Harold Budd's "The Moon And The Melodies", "Heaven Or Las Vegas" by Cocteau Twins and Michael Brook's "Cobalt Blue". Among other artists with good records there are Mojave 3 and Gus Gus. Peak of 4AD's activity, covered in my catalog, was in the 2000s. You may see some most highly rated records in the cover art carousel right below. Latest studio album released by 4AD, "Magic Chairs" by Efterklang, was added to Aulismedia Audio Library more than three months ago. Average rate for a 4AD album (we at Antennaria call it Personal Importance Rate) is 3.0.
